Apply now for the Master in British Studies

Applications accepted until 30 April 2010

The Centre for British Studies at the Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin
welcomes applications for its acclaimed interdisciplinary Master in
British Studies (M.B.S.) programme. The M.B.S. course has been running
for ten years. It starts every year in October and is open to graduates
from any academic subject. Applicants need to have a good first degree
in any subject and a very good knowledge of English.

On the M.B.S. course, students from different nations and with
different academic backgrounds study British history, culture and
literature, as well as law, politics, business and economy. Following
an introductory semester, students in their second semester may choose
between two options, 'Economy, Law, Politics' and 'Culture, Media and
Cultural Management'. The two semesters in Berlin are followed by an
internship with a company, public institution or other suitable
organisation within the United Kingdom (subject to UK visa requirements
for non-EU nationals). The Centre for British Studies helps students to
arrange their internship and has a large number of partners in the UK.
During the last part of the programme, students complete a Master
Thesis.
