This uni-assist information will be accepted by the German embassies and German consular missions as confirmation of your application. Please endeavour to make an appointment to apply for a visa in good time.
If your submitted application documents do not fulfil the application requirements set by our university, you will also be informed. You can make corrections or submit missing documents by the application deadline (cut-off deadline) or reapply to study at our university at the next application opportunity.
The application documents are stored digitally for three application periods.
So that you can follow the further processing status, you will receive an e-mail from our university after successful transmission of the application data by uni-assist with further information on how you can then follow the decision-making process at Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin. From this point on, please check your e-mails regularly, including your spam folder.
The status enquiry shows you the status of the processing of your application at Humboldt-Universit?t. If there are any changes to your application by staff, you will regularly receive an e-mail, which may not always show a change in your status enquiry. Most of the time, your application will show the processing status: "Application is being processed/reviewed" or "Waiting for admission procedure". You therefore do not need to contact us individually to enquire about the processing status. Your application will not be forgotten under any circumstances and the result of the selection procedure will be shown on your status enquiry.
At Humboldt-Universit?t, there are subjects with restricted admission (NC) and subjects without restricted admission (NC-free). NC means Numerus Clausus, which means that only a limited number of study places are available for these subjects. A selection procedure is used to allocate study places according to set criteria. The selection procedure for Master's degree programmes is not based on citizenship.
We carry out the admission procedure for degree programmes with restricted admission for the first semester at the beginning/middle of July and for degree programmes for higher semesters from the beginning/middle of September.
If you fulfil the formal admission requirements for open-admission degree programmes for the first semester, you will receive admission to the degree programme from Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin immediately after submitting your application documents or after the relevant examination board has checked your subject-specific admission requirements.
As soon as the admission procedure is completed, you will be informed by e-mail. The result of the admission procedure can be viewed in your status enquiry. We will provide you with the corresponding letter of admission or rejection online.
If you are admitted, you must declare your acceptance of the study place online within the set deadline (cut-off period). If you miss this deadline, the study place will be forfeited.
You will only be shown the documents to be submitted for enrolment once you have accepted your place online. From this point onwards, we will also send you an invitation to take the DSH exam if you still have to take it before starting your degree programme.
