In focus: Shaping digitalisation together
As a partner of the Weizenbaum Institute, Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin is committed to independent, interdisciplinary and fundamental digitalisation research. In addition to questions of a digitalised and networked society, digitalisation research itself is being researched. The aim is not only to better understand digitalisation, but also to help shape it in a sustainable, self-determined and responsible way in dialogue with society.
Promotion of AI start-ups
The Artificial Intelligence Entrepreneurship Centre (K.I.E.Z.) supports scientifically oriented AI start-ups on their way from the lab to the market - with expertise, financing options and networking opportunities. AI researchers receive customised support step by step, for example when founding a company, developing their product idea or marketing the final product.
Experience cultural treasures digitally
The research and teaching project digitales forum romanum reconstructs the former appearance of the ancient forum with the help of a digital model. The focus is on the transformation of the site and its changing role in politics, society and communication in order to comprehensively analyse the historical significance of the site. New sources and research findings lead to ongoing adaptations and extensions of the model.
Understanding and shaping AI
The KI-Campus is the learning platform for artificial intelligence in Germany. It offers free online courses, videos and podcasts on all aspects of AI - from the basics to specialised topics. This strengthens AI skills in science and society and promotes dialogue. The AI Campus is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and developed together with partners from research and education.
