Electives from other disciplines

The interdisciplinary compulsory elective area (?WP) offers students the opportunity to individually expand their study content. They can choose from various modules that are not directly related to their main subject in order to develop interdisciplinary skills and broaden their perspectives.

Interdisciplinary competences

You can acquire interdisciplinary skills during your degree programme. This usually takes place in the interdisciplinary compulsory elective area (?WP). In this area, courses (modules) are offered in which you can acquire interdisciplinary specialised knowledge. Please refer to your study and examination regulations to find out whether your degree programme includes an ?WP. Please also take a look at the FAQ .

Career Centre: Professional competences

The Career Centre offers specially developed courses with future skills for career orientation and career entry. The courses are worth 1 to 5 credit points (CP) and are not graded.

Berlin University Alliance: cutting-edge research and teaching

The Berlin University Alliance is supported by four institutions: Freie Universit?t Berlin, Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin, Technische Universit?t Berlin and Charité - Universit?tsmedizin Berlin. The BUA aims to further strengthen the link between cutting-edge research and teaching and promote the exchange of excellent academics and students.

International: Berlin Perspectives

Berlin Perspectives is an interdisciplinary seminar programme for international programme students and regular students at Humboldt-Universit?t in the ?WP. All seminars take the city of Berlin as their thematic point of reference and look at various aspects of the history, society,
culture and politics of Germany and Europe in the world. They are held in English or in bilingual English-German formats.
