Description

The second funding phase of the joint project "Leistung macht Schule" (LemaS-Transfer) aims to establish classrooms which support talent development and enhance performance in the participating schools for all students, regardless of descent, gender, and social status, and thus to improve the opportunities of highperforming as well as of particularly talented children and adolescents. The transfer and implementation processes of the results developed in the first phase will be scientifically supported and will be accompanied by research and formative evaluation. On the one hand, the results serve to enhance a school and teaching culture in the LemaS schools of phase 1 which successfully
supports giftedness, talents and performance. On the other hand, the results serve the overarching goal of identifying and supporting particularly gifted and potentially high-performing students in the new LemaS schools in phase 2 across Germany, establishing a school and teaching culture which supports talentdevelopment, giftedness and performance. The accompanying research also aims to identify the conditions for successful transfer and implementation processes in school education. To achieve this goal, educational research and participating schools will closely cooperate to continuously and jointly transfer the strategies, concepts, measures and materials developed and tested within school practice during the first funding phase of the initiative, as well as attitudes and goals that are associated with these practices and products. A successful transfer strategy includes both an intensified transfer in the
300 schools of the first funding phase and a broad transfer to up to 1000 schools that will be addressed in the second funding phase.
