On the occasion of his 70th birthday celebrations on 2 October 2010, Dr Jens Odewald was awarded the Humboldt-Universit?ts-Medaille. The alma mater berolinensis would like to take this opportunity to express its gratitude to the Chairman of the Foundation, who has worked tirelessly on behalf of the University since 2007.
Together with his colleagues, Prof. Dr Michael Hoffmann-Becking, Dr Christian Olearius and Dr Hannes Rehm, Odewald established the Humboldt-Universit?t Foundation in autumn 2007, which has since been committed to the sustainable promotion of Berlin University, particularly in the areas of cutting-edge research, excellent teaching and the promotion of young academics, as well as the preservation of its cultural and architectural heritage.
