Günter Tembrock receives Humboldt-Universit?ts-Medaille

Tembrock is honoured for his more than 70 years of loyalty to the university and his outstanding scientific achievements

The Humboldt-Universit?ts-Medaille was awarded for the first time on 1 November 2007. During a ceremony, the President of the University presented the award winner, Prof. Dr Dr h. c. mult. Günter Tembrock, on the occasion of his more than 70 years of service to the University. Günter Tembrock and the University thus jointly celebrated an anniversary that is unprecedented in the history of the Alma Mater Berolinensis.

Günter Tembrock was enrolled at Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universit?t zu Berlin on 1 November 1937. He has remained loyal to the university to this day, even after graduating. The Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin has taken this extraordinary milestone as an opportunity to honour him with the medal. The university is thus honouring one of its most important academics and university teachers who has made a pioneering contribution to the development of his alma mater Berolinensis.
