Questions and answers

No. The module and event programme as well as the Career Center's advisory services are not subject to a fee.

The modules in which credit points are awarded take place on all specified dates. As a rule, 42 to 50 attendance hours must be completed in such modules. In addition, there is homework as well as preparation and follow-up time, so that 125 hours of workload are estimated per module. The modules take place both during the semester and during the lecture-free period. Many modules are organised as block courses.

The modules in the Career Centre are generally ungraded. In order to acquire credit points, an individually attributable performance must be completed. The lecturer determines the type and scope of the individual performance. The module description provides information on this.

In accordance with the examination regulations in the individual degree programmes, students have the option of two repeat examinations. These examinations are timed to coincide with the examinations of the next course (i.e. usually one semester later). The certificate is only issued if the performance assessment is passed. If the repeat examination is not passed, no credit points can be recognised for this course. The course cannot be repeated.

You can attend several modules in a semester (max. 3 courses), but you should avoid registering for several modules that take place in parallel, as only one module can be completed at a time.

If it is no longer possible to register via the database or you have only been allocated a place on the waiting list, you can come to the first date without obligation in order to obtain a place from a participant who has registered but not turned up. However, there is no legal entitlement to participate in CC modules.

Graduates of the HU can attend events at the Career Centre up to one year after graduation, provided places are available.

As a rule, no. However, if this is the case, it will be mentioned in the module description.

Students on the Law degree programme (degree objective: first legal examination) can acquire credits in the area of "key qualifications" in selected courses. The Examination Board of the Faculty of Law determines which courses are recognised for the acquisition of key qualifications. The list of relevant modules can be found on the Faculty of Law website.

Students from other universities can take part in the Career Centre modules if there are still places available. If you would like to have the credit points recognised in your degree course, please consult the examination office responsible for you at your university in advance.

Registration is generally only possible online via the Career Centre pages under the respective course description.
