Personal details
Max Illner has been working as a Technical Curator at the Humboldt Lab since October 2021.
He studied Philosophy, History, and Art History at the Freie Universität and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. While still a student, he worked in museums and on exhibition projects and spent many years freelancing in exhibition techniques and project production. In 2019, he moved into institutional museum operations. At Humboldt Lab, he combines content-related work with technical and organizational expertise to create an exploratory practice of Technical Curation.
