Wilhelm von Humboldt: Studies on Egyptian and Writing

Joint project of Frank Kammerzell and Markus Messling (Hamburg), aiming at an edition of the linguistic works of Wilhelm von Humboldt which deal with Egyptian, Coptic and writing. Basis of the project, that forms part of the 5th section of Wilhelm von Humboldts Schriften zur Sprachwisenschaft (ed. by Gordon Whittaker), are manuscripts of Humboldt's scientific bequest.
