The Ramesses III (KV 11) Publication and Conservation Project: Geo-archaeological Survey

The tomb of Ramesses III (KV 11) is situated in the Valley of the Kings (modern Luxor, Egypt). The team will carry out a geo-archaeological survey in order to examine the tomb for cracks in the surrounding bedrock. These cracks will be recorded and mapped. The whole tomb will be documented with photogrammetry and measurements of a Total-Station-Survey and will thus provide a basis for future field work. A detailed report concerning the condition of the tomb will be provided with the expertise of a conservator and a structural engineer.
