Description
PolyGreen contributes to an upcoming consortium for a Horizon-2020 proposal within the SCC-02-2016-2017 call ?Demonstrating innovative nature-based solutions in cities: Nature-based solutions for inclusive urban regeneration (2017)”. The Resource Economics group and the Geographic Institute at the Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin will research opportunities and barriers for urban adaptation through diffuse, spatially heterogeneous urban green. The innovative character of the project lies in the focus on the so far neglected role of urban residents: research will address under which conditions resident-centric urban green solutions are: a) realistic from a social-scientific perspective; b) functional from a urban-ecology point of view; and c) effective on the urban climate.
