Project description

One aim of the research project ist the development of catalytic processes for the hydrogenolysis of Si-Si bonds at Pt complexes. The synthesis and reactivity of catalytic intermediates will be investigated to get a deeper understanding of the reaction mechanisms. Furthermore, it is envisaged to cleave Si-O bonds in alkoxydisilanes by hydrodealkoxylation. This will open up new entries to SiH3- as well as Alkoxysilyl- and Dialkoxysilyl building blocks, which will be used for Si-C coupling reactions.
