Description
During the past 20 years, Argentina has become a major producer and exporter of agricultural products, yet this came at considerable environmental costs. Agricultural expansion and intensification has been particularly rampant in the Chaco, where the current land management systems are not sustainable. Within the project PASANOA the goal was to find pathways to sustainable future land use in the Chaco and provide solutions to implement landscapes that balance agricultural production, biodiversity conservation and other ecosystem services.
