Project description

The conference aims at a critical engagement of classical and current Phenomenology with the diverse philosophical traditions, which are linked to terms such as “chrêma“, “pr?gma“, “res“, “thing“, “Gegenstand“, “object“, and “artifact“. Thus, it intends to highlight the originality of the various phenomenological notions of the Thing. The assumption is that the inquiry into the notion of the Thing provides a paradigmatic approach to Phenomenology as one of the most relevant philosophical currents of the 20th and 21st century.
