Specialized Information Service for Book, Library, and Information Science

The Specialized Information Service "Book Studies, Library and Information Science (FID BBI) addresses three subjects with large intersections. From different perspectives, these subjects study the production, dissemination and reception of information and the value chains linked to it. The FID BBI aims to provide information services to researchers in these three disciplines, to contribute to interdisciplinary community building, and to ensure knowledge transfer between the disciplines. The main focus of the project at Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin is to continuously identify information needs of researchers and to productively implement them for the research portal as well as for the other services of the FID BBI. In addition, it's aim is to increase the reach of the FID BBI and to establish it as a brand among researchers. The project partners are the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel and Leipzig University Library.
