Project description

DESIVE2 aims at an enhanced understanding of the dissemination mechanisms of (scientific) disinformation, which may lead to the revision of existing information behavior models and to the establishment of disinformation research as a new component of information behavior research. The central objectives of the subproject at Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin are the organization of a panel of test persons and the development and implementation of semi-structured qualitative interviews on critical incidents (CI). The aim of the interviews is to find out which factors lead to scientific information becoming disinformation in the health context. What motivates or drives people to believe or spread disinformation? When and how are people led to do so and are the interviewees aware of this?
