Project description
The aim of this project is to examine how sports clubs can adapt to the changing everyday and living environment of children and young people in order to be attractive as socialisation agents for children and young people. For this purpose, it is to be examined to what extent the offer, the perception of the offer by children, young people and, if applicable, parents and the motives for doing sports and participating coincide or do not coincide. In addition to the question of motive fit (e.g. competition, community, aesthetics, etc.), it will be investigated to what extent sports clubs succeed (or can succeed) in reaching affective (e.g. enjoyment) and cognitive (e.g. motivation) decision-making factors of children through their offer and how the offer should change, e.g. with regard to perspectives of meaning, digitalisation and flexibility, in order to be a sustainable part of the everyday world of children and young people.
The sub-project is to be divided into a representative quantitative panel survey and supporting qualitative research that goes into more depth in sub-areas.
