Project description

Dr. Priyam Sinha's stay in Berlin has two specific objectives. Firstly, she will be sent as a representative of the
South Asian Studies Program at NUS in order to work with the applicant, Prof. Schneider, and other colleagues to
jointly explore and determine the conditions for future cooperation in the areas of research, teacher and student
exchange and joint research applications. In particular, with a focus on issues related to cross-cutting themes in the
social and cultural sciences, funding opportunities for future collaborations between the two South Asian Studies
programs will be explored and a concrete timetable for corresponding preparatory measures will be drawn up.
Secondly, during her stay at the Institute of Asian and African Studies, Dr. Sinha will also be given the opportunity to
expand her academic network in the field of gender, media and diversity studies research within the BUA network.
Our joint public activities will include a half-day workshop at the IAAW, a public lecture
by Dr. Sinha and joint visits to various BUA institutions.
