Description
The 76th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) will take place from September 7 to 12, 2025, in Mainz, Germany, bringing together approximately 2,000 scientists from over 70 countries. It is considered one of the most prestigious international conferences in the field of electrochemistry and will return to Germany for the first time in over 20 years.
Under the theme "Electrochemistry: From Basic Insights to Sustainable Technologies," the conference will address key topics in electrochemical research—from sustainable energy conversion and storage, to emerging battery technologies, bioelectrochemical applications, and the integration of artificial intelligence. Research findings will be presented and discussed across 16 parallel symposia, complemented by over 200 invited talks and five high-profile plenary lectures by internationally renowned experts.
A central goal of the organizers is to promote international participation and support early-career researchers. To ensure the successful realization of the event and to enable participation particularly for young scientists and researchers from less privileged regions, travel grants have been requested.
Thus, the conference not only provides a forum for high-level scientific exchange but also sends a strong signal in support of equal opportunities, diversity, and international dialogue. It further enhances the visibility of electrochemical research in Germany and on a global scale.
