Description
The project studies choices and outcomes in educational markets, considering different behavioral biases and their effects in varying institutional contexts. The focus of the work program in the third funding period lies on the sources and implications of misperceptions about educational processes and outcomes, and on the effects of policy interventions that address information frictions and behavioral biases. The team studies three sets of phenomena: (i) intergenerational transmission of educational choices, (ii) admission processes, and (iii) educational policies. The methodic mix includes surveys and experimental methods, and the team will also design regulatory interventions.
