Description

Project A1|Braun applies Fluorine-Specific interactions to establish metal-mediated dehydrofluorination and hy-drofluorination reactions. In the proposed dehydrofluorination reactions, germylium ion-based catalysts trans-form fluorinated alkanes with germanes into alkenes, fluorogermanes, and H2. The formed fluorogermanes can be further transformed in HF and used in consecutive Pt-catalyzed hydrofluorination reactions of alkynes.
