On 23 November 2022, the Walter Hallstein Institute welcomed the Commissioner for Justice and the Rule of Law, Didier Reynders. He spoke on the topic of "Protecting and strengthening the Rule of Law in the European Union ", particularly in the context of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
