A highlight was the participation in the 7th East Asian Centers Conference at Peking University, focusing on “East Asia and Europe in the Age of Post-Globalization”. The interdisciplinary dialogue underscored the importance of transnational academic cooperation. In a high-level meeting with Vice President Prof. Dr. Fang Fang of Peking University, both sides agreed to deepen their long-standing partnership, especially in light of the upcoming 40th anniversary in 2026. Further discussions with Tongji University and German business representatives in China explored new opportunities in law, economics and entrepreneurship. The visit provided valuable insights and momentum for the strategic development of Humboldt-Universit?t’s partnerships in China – highlighting the essential role of personal exchange, trustful partnerships and shared visions for a sustainable future.

In September, a delegation from Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin, led by Dr. Yoan Vilain, Vice-Provost for International and European Affairs, travelled to China to strengthen existing partnerships and foster academic exchange on global challenges.
