Psychological Counselling for HU students
At HU’s Psychological Counselling Service, we offer one-to-one sessions and group programmes for all HU students. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever weighs on you and explore ways to feel relief and regain strength. Whether your concerns are linked to your studies, personal challenges, or mental health – you don’t have to go through them alone.

How We Can Support You
We offer free, confidential counselling sessions – both online and in person – in German, English, and Turkish. Usually, this involves a single session where we work together to take first steps towards relief or solutions.
You can reach out to us, for example, if you are dealing with:
-
exam anxiety and study-related stress
-
doubts about your choice of study programme
-
difficulties with concentration, motivation, or workload
-
questions about psychotherapy and how to find support
-
personal challenges, such as family pressure, psychosomatic complaints, or eating problems
Our service is available either as a personal consultation or as part of workshops & groups. Groups focus mainly on study-related topics (e.g. learning strategies, exam nerves) and are currently held in German.
All sessions are held by qualified psychologists with many years of professional experience.
