Course structure and content

The combined Bachelor's degree in Geography at Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin integrates natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities into a comprehensive study programme. Students explore the fundamentals of physical and human geography, learn how natural processes and social dynamics shape spaces, and acquire the skills to scientifically analyze this knowledge and teach it in the classroom.

Depending on your chosen specialization, you will graduate with either a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). The programme is geared towards teacher training.

Geography has a long tradition at Humboldt-Universit?t: Carl Ritter, one of the founders of the discipline, taught here in the 19th century.
