Project description
The patentability of innovative plants or plant components is now subject of a controversial social debate. While plant breeders, biotechnology and agrochemical companies wish for the greatest possible protection for their investments, farmers, environmental groups and other NGOs are pushing for a limitation of the monopolisation of plants.
The conference goal is to establish a dialogue between representatives of traditional and alternative innovation models.
