FG 1614: Agents' Abilities

Abilities play the role of an unexplained explainer in a wide variety of philosophical debates. The project "Agents' Abiltiies" explores what abilities are. More specifically, the question is what it is for some agent to have an ability to do something. Paradigmatically, abilities are agentive: they are abilities to perform actions. But the project is also concerned with perceptive abilities and other abilities to be engaged in doings which are not actions.
